i was a tad cheeky with the coffee machine today.. I put 4 espressos in 1 coffee cup and it only got charded as 1 drink to my staff card. It's this sort of behaviour that could lead to Dr Zoidberg impressions around the office.. but thankfully it's too hot to be that active! The Create 09 flyers are online, but I'm now hassling Chris Dixon of Ashford Borough Council to send me colour copies so I can advertise around Canterbury. I hope we get good weather and a good turn out.. sadly we're on from 12, but the park is very close to the train station, so hopefully people supporting us won't find it too horrible to travel over from the crack of 11 in the morning. Quite amusing that Dann was put on the flyer image (the very colourful guitarist on the left) Thu, Jun. 18th, 2009, 07:54 am
http://www.sasquatchrecords.co.uk is currently watching http://sasquatchrec.livejournal.com/ as a news feed using a bit of code tetriosphinx was using for the Snuff Radio website Unfortunately it seems to take about a day to refresh itself .. so if I need to make any quick updates, I can't. Any suggestions on what I might use to improve this relationship between the website and live journal? Or could you suggest a news/rss tool, that would allow me to put up images, that would do the same job? Wed, Jun. 17th, 2009, 07:27 pm

I am now on and highly recommend Linked In - basically a social networking site that acts as a comprehensive CV and allows you to add professional contacts as references or so people can advise each other on opportunities.
Stone Thrower are currently ranking 24th out of literally hundreds of Rock acts signed up for the Supajam festival and voting ends on May 30th http://www.supajam.com/story/title/water-tortureWhen you vote (once you've registered) you will see a photo of their hairy, scary lead singer as the track starts to play. Underneath this you will see some stars (probably 3), which is their current rating, and under that are some very faint stars that you click on to rate them - marks out of five. Each vote they get will help them out massively!

Hey guys Could you please do me another favour and vote for stone thrower to play at Lounge on the farm? It's another fairly quick and painless registration, if you complete it, it would mean the world to us. Thanks Dan Fri, Jan. 30th, 2009, 09:19 pm

geeks.. please help. I am going for a Technical User Support role. I think I stuffed the interview up big time, but if I can have them take me on to put me into the two week training programme then I might stand a chance. The interview just rubbed in my face how little I knew about IT in general, it was painful. but it was all stuff I could learn. There was also a quiz afterwards, much of which I didn't understand, but I think I did a pretty good job of showing my potential with customer service, so there I'm in with a fighting chance. Now there's a follow up test, 2 questions, one is writing an SQL query, that I think will be simple to work out (choose 3 fields from the table and limit the age range of the results to above 25) but the other question instructs Write by hand in the box below an MS-DOS batch file that will copy the large file MOVEME.TXT from the directory C:\ORIG\TXT to the empty directory C:\NEW\TXT and delte the file C:\ORIG\TXT\COPY.SEM if the copy was successful. I have NO idea. . and I don't think this is going to be one of those "honesty saves the day" type situations :/ Can anyone help, even if it means pointing me in the direction of a useful help file/tutorial?Fri, May. 30th, 2008, 01:25 pm
For a man who likes to see his own name written on things.. This is quite pleasing oh by the way, I'm playing RE:GENER8 at the Gulbenkian on June 21st - I'm one of the very minor acoustic acts (aka filler) but it's still cool to have things liket his to do :) all the other acts are listed on the websiteTickets are £5 in advance or £7 on the door if anyone's interested in coming along |
